Data Privacy and Management Advisory Services (DPMAS) has taken a pivotal step in addressing the urgent need for Data Privacy training in the HR sector. In an unprecedented move, DPMAS has partnered with the Human Resources Management Association of Barbados to deliver the first-ever training program focused on Data Privacy for Human Resource professionals.
The training, held on October 12, 2023, comes at a crucial time, given the Data Protection Act of 2019. This legislation makes it imperative for businesses to comply with stringent data protection measures. “The Act has profound implications for how HR professionals handle sensitive data, making this training not just necessary but vital,” said Steven Williams, Principal Consultant of DPMAS.
